The Oil Center is also the home for culture in Acadiana. Designed by renowned architect A. Hayes Town, the Heymann Performing Arts Center hosts performances by the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra (ASO), Performing Arts Society of Acadiana (PASA) and Broadway series. Facing beautiful Girard Park is the magnificent Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum, housing a permanent collection of 18th through 21st century European, Asian
and American art works and changing exhibitions.

Since its inception, OCRA has produced the popular Festival of Light held the first Friday in December each year. Throughout the year, OCRA promotes events including the Oil Center Farmer’s Market and the third Saturday of the month artisian addition to Farmer's Market.
